Now look, we know this isn’t the kind of debate that they have at Oxford University, but it’s a good question, right? Is there a biological reason for this, or perhaps an evolutionary one? Or is it like the male nipple, purely aesthetic and of not much use?

Structure of the Glans Penis

The mushroom-shaped tip of the penis actually has a name in the medical field, and is known as the glans penis. It’s the sensitive bulbous structure at the end of the penis shaft, covered by the foreskin in uncircumcised men and exposed for those who’ve been cut. What Does the Tip of the Penis Do?
